We provide over 6000 secure and affordable homes across Bridgend, South Wales.

We also provide management services to just under 700 leasehold flats, have a portfolio of 43 shops and other non-residential properties let on commercial terms, plus we manage 1129 garages.

We are focused on being sustainable and aim to be carbon neutral by 2030, regenerating our local communities to build a better Bridgend and Wales. And, above all, ensuring our customers and colleagues are ‘safe and happy’.

Our Purpose (Link opens in new window)

Providing homes and places where people feel safe and happy.

Our purpose describes what we are here to do as an organisation. It is the essence of why we exist, and it drives our strategic priorities. We help people to live together independently.

Our Vision (Link opens in new window)

Helping build a better Bridgend and Wales.

Our vision is intended to stretch and provoke our people to think the impossible and have ambitious aspirations for themselves and our customers. It is inherently based on us building strong and fertile partnerships in every area of our business.

Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)

Valleys to Coast will take a mosaic approach to equality, diversity and inclusion recognising individuality but at the same time celebrating the picture that is the sum of all the pieces. Our approach aims to embed equality, diversity and inclusion in all we do, making it part of our fabric and not just a tick box exercise.

Deeds Not Words (Link opens in new window)

Tai Pawb is a Welsh charity that works with housing, equality organisations and the government to reduce prejudice, discrimination, disadvantage and poverty related to housing.
In 2021, we signed up to the Tai Pawb Deeds not Words pledge to tackle racial inequality in housing. Deeds not Words is a pledge to action, to make tangible changes to tackle systemic racial inequality. As part of the pledge, we have committed to taking the following actions over the next five years:

  • Mitigate the impact of Covid-19 on Black, Asian and other minority ethnic staff and communities
  • Improve the ethnic diversity of board and staff at all levels
  • Communicate and engage with colleagues and
  • communities around racial equality
  • Develop an inclusive culture

Our Values

Our Values are our fundamental beliefs as an organisation. They are the guiding principles for how all of our people should behave and act. They flow through every part of our organisation, and are what makes us special.

Value People

We see the potential in people, those we work with and those we are here to serve.

Think Differently

We try new things to improve peoples’ lives and careers.

Courage to see things through

We want the best for ourselves, our colleagues, and our customers, so we speak, work and act with conviction, strength and determination.

Who makes the decisions on how we operate?

As an open and transparent organisation, we involve our customers, colleagues, and partners to gather the information we need to make the right decisions. We are supervised by the Welsh Government, with strategic decisions made by our Board and then delivered by our Leadership Team.
